I've used the denture cleaning tabs but I was wondering if anyone had any other methods.

  1. Steel scrubber and elbow grease...and once you have them clean make sure you clean them properly each time you use them. Tea Stains are mingin laziness!

  2. Bleach it, then rinse well.

  3. Liquid Laundry bleach.   You can buy the cheapest stuff you want.   Pure bleach does not work much faster and you have to rinse alot more.

I just put the stained cups upright in the bottom of the sink and fill each of them with whatever temperature water,  then once they are full to the brim will add a dash of bleach (about a tablespoonful)  Let them sit overnight.  Next morning, dump out the water/bleach solution, rinse out the mug with water and let air dry(I am too lazy to towel too).   This will work on plastic mugs too as they pick up the same stain from coffee, tea, and kool-aid.

If you put a dab of bleach in the bottom of the mug first and add water to fill it or water first then bleach, it really does not matter.

This will also work on the everyday silverware, as well, just drop the spoon in a mug as well and let the whole shebang sit overnight..

If you need to get the outside of the cup done, submerge it in a cookpot of solution (that is, unless your whole sink could use a cleaning this way) and fill up the pot, drop in a larger amount of bleach and your dirty mug ware. and leave overnight.    Do remember to rinse the pot, and the cup well in the morning.

Also works on thermos's which always got coffee stains on the inside and grimy in the threads and the stopper got that "ew" look.

  4. i use a bleach solution.  I let it soak out. then i rinse it with plain water. it works well.

  5. Pour bleach in it and then rinse and wash out with soap and hot water. Make sure you rinse it well.

  6. magic eraser from mr. clean very good 4 almost everything...

  7. By cleaning the mug soon after you finish having tea and by not allowing stains to accumulate!
