How do I get the BROTHER BM 2600 sewing macine to pick up the thread from the bobbin? HELP! I'm feeling stupid

Ok, I've got the machine threaded, I've put the bobbin in, now what? I can't get the machine to 'pull' the thread from the bobbin through...

PLEASE HELP!

  1. It's possible that you need to clean the bobbin carrier it may have some lint in the tension.

    Check to see if the bobbin carrier is threaded right too.

    It may also be out of timing and needs to be adjusted.

      do you have the quickset bobbin?

    So which are you doing?

      Are you hanging on to the end of the thread from the needle if you are trying to pull the bobbin thread up?  

      do you have the bobbin thread properly through the tension clips if required?
