I just got new renthal handlebars, and i was trying to get my stock grips off my stock throttle control, and it seems that it has some sorta of insane glue on it and every time i try to cut the grip, it just rips a little bit of the grip off of the throttle, and i think i might ruin the throttle if i try to cut the grip anymore. PLEASE someone tell me how i can dissolve this glue or whatever it is! THANK YOU!!

  1. spray it with something lippery and then twist and pukk it wikk come off

  2. you  can  paint  it  or  if  it  is mud you  can  wash  it

  3. Jamb a long, thin blade, s***w driver under the grip (inside) from the center of the handlebars to the outside.

Spray carb cleaner into the channel that the s***w driver made.

    Twist and work the grip.

Insert the s***w driver into a different spot.

    Spray, twist and work.

The carb cleaner will weaken the grip glue and working the grip will break it free.

The grip glue is there for a reason, so the grips won't come off.

Glue the new grips on with "grip glue".

  4. cut it off with a razor

  5. WD-40 works good and it wont melt your plastic throttle tube...Its going to take a little time cleaning it off...

When you put the new grip on just splash a little gas in your grip...shake out any extra thats in it....slide it on twist it around once into place and let sit for a few min.  It should hook up great..with out glue....We also use wire..(grip wire) In 3 spots..........If your new! use glue :)

Then when you want it off next time use your air hose...Put the tip under the grip and give it a blast of air....It will shoot across the room.........Works great
