How do I get the character Luigi and keep him in Super Mario 64 DS ?

u can find luigi in the ghost mansion on the second floor in  a room leading to the third floor where u would see a picture of luigi and go inside and beat the boss where u would receive a key to open luigi door

You need to have at least 14 stars.  Go to the course 'Big Boo's Haunt' (defeat the Big Boo in the upper left corner of the castle courtyard) as Mario and enter the haunted house.  Go to the second floor (triple jump there or get the first star by defeating 5 boos and then the Big Boo, which will activate a permanent staircase) and enter the door on the far right side.  stand on the platform and get the power flower inside the red '!' box, and float up and towards the direction of the room's door to find a secret ledge.  Once there, enter the door on the ledge and you will see Luigi's portrait.  Jump in, go through the course, and defeat the boss at the end to unlock Luigi.  Good luck!
