How do I get the headlight out of my 04' Beetle?

I'm trying to change the headlight on the driver's side of my 2004 New Beetle. I know about the black lever you have to push up, but it's stuck and wont move, so I can't get the light cylinger-thing to pop out. Anyone have any idea how to do it?

Pop the hoood.

In the inside of the fender the is a small black hook. You have to trip the small lock with a screwdriver and pull the Hook up this will turn the whole retaining ring and let your light assy come out.
