How do I get the lineal footage for my fence?

I have a 75 ft fence, 6 ft high, and boards are 6" wide. I figured 150 boards,11 4x4x10, 20 2x4x8.

I like your plan, 4 feet extra on the materials? ok. maybe a  half bag of Sak- crete every other post? 3 bags. 4 exterior use screws per board? bout 600. and something suitable to fasten the 2x4's to the 4x4's. ok! get bizzy! p.s. I like using a 3 foot level for the posts and always pull a string from A to B for a straight fence.

Castelli you got everything  right except you will need 163 boards as they will be 51/2" wide not 6" wide. I would go with 8 ft 4X4 and put little bit concrete around them.  This will save you money and work.

it the 75 foot that it runof fence you got . if you went square foot ,take 75 time 6 will give you that
