How do I get the metal piece to my rear view mirror off so I can get it on right?

My brother glued the metal piece on my windshield backward. How do I get it off so I can glue it on right and put my mirror back on?

I've done the same thing before! Makes you wanna cuss!

It is easy to remove, but you gotta be careful. Remember it is heat and glue degredation that made it fall off in the first place, you need to mimic that.

Use a propane torch and heat the mounting button for about 5 seconds, then easily try and wiggle it with a pair of pliers. If not loose, heat a bit more, it will eventually free up. Place a damp bath towel under where the button "might" fall. You don't want to accidentally drop a hot metal object on your vinyl dashboard! You would have to cuss again!
