The pharmacy I'm trying to call is on the main street or just off to the right. It is modern, clean and they advertise in most of the small Southern AZ newspapers. I need expensive brand name medication today Sunday August 27, 2006. Are the pharmacies in Agua Prieta open Sundays and what are thier hours. I will drive there if I know they are open.If you know of another drug store that will accomplish my goal that would also be correct answer. I don't have time to wait for Canadian shipment, but thanks. Long Days, Pleasant Nights

  1. Well, I have done my share of shopping in Mexico. If you can drive there, since you need the medication anyways...just go. Plan your trip to have a full day so you can enjoy the rest of that crazy, dirty border town and go get your meds. They will be open regular retail hours for the most part, just like any place else. Also make sure of any limits of permitted medicines before returning to the USA customs/inspection line. Take care and feel better.

  2. Without the name of the pharmacy I dont think you will get much help.

  3. Be careful. The FTC has been issuing warnings about counterfeit, worthless drugs sold by pharmacies there: http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/ANSWERS/20...

That said, see: http://www.elabuelo.com.mx/buscar2ciudad... (directory of "farmácias" in Agua Prieta)

I have never been to an Arizona border town, so what do I know. I have bought pharmaceuticals in Juárez.

You may want to observe the US Customs regulations, carrying a prescription and not bringing more than the allowable quantity. Also, beware that you could be denounced or otherwise come to the attention of Mexican police, corrupt or not. The best way to avoid confrontation with them is to let the pharmacist arrange for a Mexican doctor to give you a prescription: you are then fully legal in Mexico, and in addition, the drugs may be paid for by your U.S. health insurance (mine would cover me under those circumstances).

Here's the FDA page of links for rules on legal importation by Americans of foreign-made pharmaceuticals: http://www.fda.gov/importeddrugs/

  4. Yes, they are open and you don't have to call them, just drive down there and get your drugs.

  5. Here is a directory for Mexico Yellow Pages: http://nic.yellow.com.mx/

    I hope this helps you!
