You need to buy a red turnip from Joan, who walks around every sunday from 6am - 1pm. She looks a buit like a brown pig with horns. Then, give it to Wendel, next time he comes to town. Wendel will give you either the Turban or the Country Guitar.If you don't get the turban, give the other item (the country guitar) to K.K. Slider on a Saturday Night, to get K.K's pic, then repeat the steps above until you get the Turban. If and once you have the Turban, give it to Sahara next time she comes to town. She will either give you a Massage Chair or a Red Vase. You need the Massage Chair to obtain the scallop - Tortimer will give you it in exchange for the massage chair on the next holiday (e.g. Firework Night/Fishing Tourney). If you get the Red Vase - give it to Crazy Redd in exchange for a safe, then give the safe to Tom Nook for his pic. Then repeat until you get the Massage Chair, and peform the steps above.

Then, wait for Pascal to show up and he will give you the golden axe.
