I would like to do it as easily, and safely, as possible. My husband told me to use a knife to cut it out, but I don't feel like cutting my finger off ( I'm not too swift with sharp objects).

  1. put it in the freezer for a day or so then tap it upside down on a table it should pop right out.

  2. Put the candle holder in the oven for very short time?

  3. put a pot of water on to boil.  let it sit in the water for a few minutes.  hot water melts wax, washes it out, bam.  cleaned.

  4. You can get these things called a "Candle Warmer" I picked one up at the dollar store. You just plug it in, set the almost-spent candle on the hot plate, and in about 10-15 minutes, all you will have is a pool of wax. You can then dump it out and wipe the glass clean with paper towels. That way there's no cutting or chipping off the wax involved.

  5. Put in freezer for a hour or so.  The candle holder will shrink and the candle wax should pop right out.

  6. No knife--you'll be visiting the hospital ER.  Pop it in the freezer for 15 minutes.  Wax will shrink and you can pop it out.  Next time you burn, put some water in the bottom of the candle holder.  It will allow you to remove the melted wax without it sticking to the holder.

  7. you can use a haidryer on high to melt the excess wax out

  8. stick the candle holder in the freezer for a few hours. then the wax will pop right out. You've never heard of that before???

  9. It depends on what type of candle holder you have. If it is a material which can withstand boiling, you can carefully heat it in a saucepan with about and inch of water, wiping the wax out as it heats. For more delicate materials, you can heat it by placing it in direct sunlight,  such as in your car. This will soften the wax. Use a paper towel to wipe out the softened wax. You may have to repeat it a few times to get all the wax out of the candle holder. For small carved surfaces, you can use a Q-tip.

For most other materials such as wood or porcelain, you can also use Goo Gone. (See references.)

If you spill wax on fabric, you can iron it out by placing the fabric between two paper towels, turning your iron down to low or medium and ironing it. This will probably take a few repeat ironings to remove all the wax.

  10. First knock out any lose bits out. Then put some Goo Gone stuff in the candle holder about 1/3 of the way, then put really hot water the rest of the way up. Now wait for about 20 minutes then take your knife and start breaking up the candle chunks. Now they shouldn't stick to the candle holder. I hope this helps you out. It always works for me. Goo Gone is the orange goo looking stuff that leaves a nice citrus smell.

  12. put the candle holder in hot water in your sink. Then when the wax  has softened, get an ordinary knife and scrape it out.
