How do I get the word out about my job so people will use me if I work from home? Scrapbooking is the job.?

Basically, as a side job, I'd like to make scrapbooks for people. They send me pictures and guidelines as to what they want done, and I scrapbook it for a certain fee and send it back to them. I know that sounds kind of sketchy. One day I'd like to do it in my town, like set up a shop. My real question is, how do I get the word out to people who want scrapbooking done to their pictures?

  1. One thing you could do is give friends some of your scrapbooking work as gifts. When people see how good your work is, they may come to you offering to pay for additional work, and your business will spread by word of mouth. That's what happened to me with sewing. I wasn't interested in sewing to make money - I really just wanted to make things for people, so I didn't come across as trying to sell something. Nevertheless, people started coming to me to sew things and offering to pay for it. The same has happened with a friend of my mom's who makes cakes.

  2. send out flyers, if you are good with a computer you could do your own, drop a few in some letter boxes put them up at shopping centres notice boards. Put them on peoples windscreens at parking areas.
