Anyone else have this problem?

Every day we get 4 calls from this number:

1-800-943-3022

When I Google it, I find a list of complaints about the company on whoscallingme.com and so forth.

Our number is unlisted, we are on the do not call registry, we have told our credit cards we don't want these calls, and I have reported them to the FCC. They still call. I have also tried ignorign the phone, picking up and saying "hold on a minute", putting the phone down and walking away (they held on for 22 minutes), and questioning the caller relentlessly (hung up on me).

I am no longer having fun thinking up new ways to foil them since this has been going on for a month, and I can't even be sure what the company is...

The only new thing I could think of was to ask everyone on Y/A to call the # and hopefully crash their phone system... sooo... what do you say?

  1. If you have caller ID, check the number and if it is them just don't answer.

  2. I recommend getting a recorder and having some fun with them. Tom Mabe is a good inspiration. Another way of having fun if you are into DIY electronics is the telecrapper. Or simply answer the phone and ask them to hold while you get the person they are calling for and leave them hanging. Return every once and a while and assure them that the person will be right with them. Funny, I do not get many of those calls anymore.

  3. There is a national "Do Not Call" registry:

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

You can enter all the numbers you want for free .. on the internet ! :)

  4. Send a letter to the state attorney general outlining exactly what you have said here, and ask them to prosecute..

That's what the no-call list is for...

In Missouri it works, I don't know about other places....
