How do I get this program off my flash drive?

I have a SanDisk Cruzer micro 2GB flash drive. It came with some sort of stupid management program [called U3, it seems] and I want it off my thumb drive because it is nothing more than an annoyance! I have tried deleting the program and reformatting the drive, but it always comes back. Any clue how to get rid of this?
