How do I get this varnish/polyurethane off my hands?

I have no paint thinner and I got stuck with a varnish with polyurethane all over my hands. I have tried nail polish remover, orange pumice cleaner, dish soap, and a rough sponge. All helped a little but I still have a sticky residue on my hands. Is there anything else I can use?? Will paint thinner irritate my skin?

  1. petrol gets every thing off

  2. Use vegetable oil and then wash your hands with soap and water after wards. It really works and your hands will be nice and soft :)

  3. it wont irritate ur skin just dont soak ur hands in it try wd40 it or if u have any mojo in an orange color  bottle works really good

  4. Vegetable oil works best it's a two step process after you remove the varnish. You then have to remove the vegetable oil from your hands which is easily done with dish soap.
