So I have been with my boyfriend for over six years I have a child that we raise together and I am pregnant with our baby. He has always been the type of guy to hang out with his friends and they stay out to late and get too drunk and I have been asking him stop for a long time now. He has people over and after I go to sleep he leaves. I think it is sneaking out that he just leaves and I wake up and I am alone. He has promised to stop doing that and told me the last time he did it that it was his last hooray and he would anymore then last night I woke at 2 and went to get some water and I was alone, what can I do to make him understands it really bothers me. I have talked to him over and over and it feels like I am talking to myself and receiving shallow promises. Can someone please tell me what is the " magic" words or the key to get him to understand it bothers me? Am I wrong to be upset??Am I only having hormonal issues??

  1. i think you have the right to be angry. When you have a child the man also has to be comitted to being with his wife/girlfriend and with his children. You have to get this straightened out b4 it gets any worse. im sorry but i dnt kno the magicwords. But dnt give up soon. If this continues you will get tired of it until you cant stand it any longer and then problems will start to build. hopfully this i just a phase for him. Just try not to be screwed around with. theres a difference between kindness/second chances and stupidity. u can only go so far. Best wishes and i hope everything becomes alrite

  2. You have every reason to be upset. Confront him about the sneaking out, he needs to grow uo and start acting like the adult he is supposed to be.

  3. You're definitely not wrong to be upset. Someone that is raising a child and has one of his own on the way shouldn't be behaving like this. My boyfriend was like that too, but as soon as he found out I was pregnant, he completely quit going out and gave up a lot of friends b/c they were bad influences. There isn't any magic words you can say to make him change. He's not going to change until he wants to. He obviously still has a lot of growing up to do. I didn't make my boyfriend change, he did on his own. But if he hadn't, I can't guarantee we'd still be together.

  4. Sounds like hes not ready for this. Let him have his fun it may be the last time he has any h**l come around. Just be satisfied you have said something and believe me he heard you. Trust me none of my friends come over anymore.
