  1. 101 runs through a lot of the bay are

to get to 101 in north bay/san rafael

-take 24 west to oakland (caldecott tunnel)

    -80 east Sacramento

    -580 to san rafael bridge

    -101 after bridge

to get to 101 in san fran/peninsula

    -580 west

-80 west to san francisco/Bay Bridge

    -101 signs right after bridge

(although, you could easily take bart into san francisco)

to get to 101 San Jose/South Bay

    take 24 west to 680

    680 south to san jose

merge with 101 north to SF or south to LA

hope this helps. it really all depends what part of 101 you're looking for. also check for traffic conditions coz 101 and the bridges are often backed up for miles, even if its not rush hour

  2. I would take Hwy 24 West to Berkley, then catch I-580 North to San Rafael where it turns into Hwy 101.

  3. The CCCTA "county Connection bus has a route that is a free Walnut Creek Downtown Shutle #905 I believe which should get you from the BART station to 101 California. I think you could even walk on a nice day as it's only a few blocks away. Good Luck!

  4. first of all, which state are you talking about? and what city?

if you ask question like that, only "the man" can answer you.

Suggestion: why don't you go to maps.yahoo.com

or maps.google.com or mapquest and search for direction yourself.
