How do I get to Amalfi from Sorrento via bus/train?

You have to take the bus, and your hotel will give you a more up to date timetable than the internet. (South Italy, espeically the Costiera region, operates on it's own rhythms and rarely keeps to official schedules.)

There are lots of great stops on the way to Amalfi, especially Positano and other small towns. You can get on and off the bus to explore all of these amazing little villages.

These sites give info on bus timetables. There's no train according to the trenitalia website.

Hmm. You can't see the links! well the bus company is called SITA and the bit you can't see on the second link (to the timetable) is ...tobus.htm
