How do I get to Cedaron City in the game Pokemon FireRed?

I can't figure out how to get there at all, no matter how many times I try!

after beating the 3rd gym in vermillion, go back up near cerullion city and go right, cut down the tree and continue following the path until u get to rock tunnel. Make sure u have the HM Flash with you. Navigate ur way through the tunnel (it isnt very hard) and u will end up at lavender town. From here travel left until you get to an underground pathway which will take you to celadon.
