HOW TO REACH

By Air - The nearest Airport is Bellary (974 km); other convenient airports are Belgaum (190 km) and Bangalore (353 km).

** Now you get more time to explore Hampi in less time. This is as a result of new flights from Bangalore to Bellary (Near Hampi) with Air Deccan at low fares.

Air Deccan will be using Jindal Vijaynagar township airfield which is hardly 45 min to Hampi.

By Rail - The nearest rail point is Hospet from where one travels another 12 kilometers by road to reach Hampi.

By Road - Regular bus services from Bangalore to Hospet.

For your safety, I strongly recommend you take a package from either ITDC or KSTDC. Where, they take care your Lodging also. The KSTDC booking office is located at  " Badami House " next to Ulsoor gate police station, near Corporation Office.

You can make your own itinerary, but Hampi is not safe. Take care. Happy journey.

Go to Bellary via train, drive down (take a cab)  from there. There is a good overnight train from Bangalore to Bellary.

first of all hampi is in bellary district & near to hospet or bellary there are abt 3 trains daily run b/w banglore & hospet(same apply to bellary tarins) and there are abt dozens of buses choice is yours yet there is no direct train fecillityor road transport(because u got travel to either of cites & then find bus for hampi) but a deccan air fecillity directly lands in Hampi but i prefer that you take air from there its just 10 Km for Hampi's best hotel Vijyanagar though if u come to bellary or hospet i prefer pola in bellary & Millige in hospet though u may also get a  good guide & taxi service to travell a whole day may be    

weeks of happy journey
