  1. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\aircraft

to unzip the files, you first need to extract the files onto a temporary location on your hard drive, then you need to add everything that is associated with the aircraft in to your FS9 aircraft folder. if you have an additional folder or folders marked either guages or effects you need to put  those files into: C:\program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\(either guages or effects)

  2. c drive

    programed files

    microsoft games

    flight simulator 9

    aircraft

  3. first download your Aircraft from a website  such as Avsim ( my favorite)  or projectopensky.net   and if you like airbus  try ifdg.net     once installed  unzip the folder  (extract all files)  then from the new folder it makes   copy the main folder inside.  then open Fs2004  go to settings, then scenery library, then go to aircraft,  the just paste it in the open white area in the popup screen press ok,  exit,  then if the plane is not in your planes,   restart Fs2004  and see if it is there.  hope this helped

  4. it should be at

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

and then look for the aircraft folder.

if it isn't on C, it may be on another partition of your harddrive such as D. Just change C to D and see if its there.

most addon airplanes come in a zipped package. use winrar to unzip to a temporary location such as a folder on your desktop.

then copy all relevant files into your aircraft folder. ( you will need to make another folder with the aircraft name within the aircraft folder if it isn't already)

    for winrar, head here :

    http://www.rarlabs.com

YA isn't the best place for this kind of question, especially if you're in the wrong section

if this doesn't help, head to the games section or an fs9 forum like here:

    http://www.filghtsimulationforums.com

    http://www.flyawaysimulation.com/forums....

  5. programs, microsoft FS, aircraft folder, copy - paste - extract

  6. Just double click on the zipped folder and look on the left hand side of the window and there should be an "unzip folder" option.  The attached application will create a new folder on the desktop with the unzipped contents of the folder.
