What is the best way to get from Charles De Gaulle airport to Hotel Novex in 13th Arrondissment? The address is 8 Rue Caillaux, Paris. Also, is this the best (cheapest) way to get there?

  1. Many ways to get there. But to me, the best way ever, to get there, is taking RER B (blue) and then taking line 14 (purple). It is faster and cooler than with line 7.

Only one ticket is required. But you must keep it, you will use it to change line.

1/ Take RER B from CDG, direction "Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse" to the "Châtelet-les-Halles" Station.

2/ Then change and look for line 14 direction "Olympiades".

3/ Get to the last station/terminus "Olympiades".

4/ Your hotel is about 10 minutes. Get out of the station (escalator).

You're at Tolbiac Street and Nationale Street cross-road.

Walk along Tolbiac Street (with the Mc Donald's in your back).

Go straight until you meet Baudricourt Street, on your left (crosswise).

    Walk along Baudricourt Street.

Then turn LEFT at the second cross-road. (Choisy Avenue)

Caillaux Street is the first or second street on your RIGHT.

Depending on how long you want to stay, you can buy a "carnet" of 10 tickets, or a "carte orange", which are cheaper.

  2. Go to this website and click on the british flag for english. It's the website for the metro system. I would recommend you get a carte orange if you are staying one week or more. Don't get the tourist pass- way expensive.

  3. There is no Metro line from CDG. It is the RER, a sort of light rail line which intersects with the Metro. the RER station is located in the terminal and signs directing you to the station from the various terminals are clearly marked. Do not confuse the RER Station which is run by the RATP with the TGV (high speed train) station run by the SNCF.

Take the RER B from CDG marked "Direction : Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse" to the Chatelet-Les Halles stop.

There you can transfer (no additonal ticket is required) to the Metro line 7 marked "Direction : Mairie d'Ivry" and take it to the Maison Blanche stop. Your hotel is about a 6 minute walk from the station.

While there are alternative methods of getting there from CDG this should be the easiest and is the cheapest method.

  4. There is a Metro line which leaves CDG Airport and goes directly through Paris, you will need to make some transfers though. If you do a Google Maps search of the street, and an image search of the metro lines, you will be able to work it out. The nearest station to Rue Caillaux is 'Maison Blanche', but you may need to make 2/3 transfers to reach here. I'm not sure if its cheaper than the bus, but definitely cheaper than taxi, as there are special combined tickets which will be valid for the transfers you need to make.
