  1. sorry there is No Union station in new York

there's Penn station and Grand central station  but

    No Union station

there are Union stations in Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles

    though

  2. MetroNorth runs regular trains from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan to New Haven Union Station.  Here's a link to their website:

You'll see that there's a train that leaves Grand Central at 7:34 am and arrives in New Haven at 9:24 am.

Getting to Grand Central is easy: the 4 train stops right underneath Grand Central at 42nd Street.  Just follow the signs into the terminal and then walk over to the ticket windows for MetroNorth trains.

It's also possible to get to New Haven by Amtrak, but you'd have to get to Penn Station in Manhattan, which would mean changing subway lines to the 1, 2, or 3.  If you want to look over the Amtrak trains to New Haven, here's a link to their website:

Amtrak is quicker than MetroNorth, but is more expensive.
