  1. There's probably a trick to whoring yourself out on YT, but I've never really mastered it.  But then, I always just want people to find my stuff by accident.  Also, my videos aren't very visually interesting - just me talking bollocks, really - so in my case there doesn't seem to be much point in attention whoring.

I guess what you could do is find videos you like, subscribe to the makers thereof, and make sure they know you've done so.

If you have a blog elsewhere, put your videos there too.

  2. I did a 1 hour radio tele-class on this topic, sharing lots of ways that I and inner circle members generate hits or visitors to our YouTube vidoes. You can download the PDF transcript completely free at: http://WillieCrawford.com/blog2/

You are not even asked for you name :-)

You can also listen to or download the MP3 audio of that show at

    http://BlogTalkRadio.com/WillieCrawford/

Getting more visitors to your YouTube videos is easy when you know how!

  3. You can get traffic by trying a free traffic exchange service like TrafficSwarm at http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?56268...

    or WebCentreSurf at http://webcentresurf.com/?27972

Try StumbleUpon at http://www.stumbleupon.com and add your site to your favorites.

You can try article marketing at an article submission service like http://www.ezinearticles.com and link back to your website in the resource box for your articles.

You can also comment on popular blogs like John Chow's or Joel Comm's that allow linkbacks to your URL. Do a Yahoo Search.

    All of these are free.

  4. A lot of these people are spamming or have lots of people who watch their videos.  It is like a big ego trip for them so they spend a lot of time promoting their videos.

So just have to devote an enormous amount of your time to getting the word out.
