  1. If your regular you need to point your left foot foreward and lean back on your right foot a little.  It helps to bend your nees a little as well.

  2. Either your legs aren't stiff enough when the boat starts to pull you or you're pushing too hard. Well actually I wouldn't recommend pushing at all since the boat's momentum will initially take you if your legs are stiff and firm on the water. After you go through some runs you're legs will feel like the water around you so take it easy for when you begin.

  3. I was having a lot of trouble with this a few years ago when I started and I found that the most important thing is your starting position. If you have experience with water skiing, the stance is pretty similar. You want to sit back in the water as if you are in a rocking chair with the board floating in front of you and the rope straight in front too. Then you just need to let the boat pull you up while you keep leaning back with your knees bent. Eventually you will just kind of pop up. Some other tips are...

    1) Try taking off the fins (this gives you more agility as they wont try and turn the board in some way you don't want to go) or having just one fin in the back (so that the board turns towards the back of the boat when you get going).

    2) Try different speeds on the boat; if you are really light you can try going really slow as the board will float anyway, if not you might want to try taking off faster so that you don't pop up then immediately sink.

    3) Just keep trying, you'll do it eventually.

  4. I had this same problem 3 years ago I was really frustrated. It takes practice. Keep knees bent close to board and when the boat goes lean back more so u won't fall forward as much. Hold on to the rope if you lean back a lot. Balance plays a role in this. Just keep trying and you will get it!

  5. Keep your butt low until you gain enough speed to skim the waves. Then stand up, but keep the knees bent.

  6. Take all of the advice previously given and add one more item and that is while you are in position and the boat starts to take off tilt whichever foot forward you are going to be and  that will help get you out and get your board straight at the same time. Remember keep your weight on your back foot, once you have your balance hold on with just your lead hand and that will keep your board nice and straight as you get the feel for it..I just started wakeboarding a few weeks ago and these are a few things that helped me. I hope this helps..Good luck!

  7. Its all about leaning back and having balance...

Push board under the water and as the boat picks up to speed lean back with upper body as you move your knees up against the board... Once up leaning back and leaning to the sides gives you steering and control...

  8. ok this is what you gatta do

bend your knees so that they are very close to you when the boat starts moving keep your knees bent, and lean backwards the board will start to turn slowly stand up. oh and keep the rope below your sholders.          your problem is probly that your legs are straight not bent and you are resisting when the board turns if you have to try turning it yourself. and whatever you do dont lean forward . keep more pressire on your back leg. good luck

  9. lock your knees... keep the toeside edge of the board out of the water... when the boat pulls... keep your knees firm... and really lean back on the rope... let the boat pull you up.. and dont let the water push you or the board around... try these tips... i wakeboard myself... good luck.
