While in the water, my knees are to my chest and i'm holding the rope with slighly bent arms. When the boat takes off, the board is going underwater and my hands smash into the board while holding onto the rope.

  1. Make sure your board is at a 90 degree angle so your toe edge is out of the water, bend your knees and straighten your legs as the boat pulls you up.  Make sure the driver is giving it enough gas to get you up, if you're board is sinking the driver probably needs to give it a little more gas and then can slow down if you need them to once you're up.

    Good luck! :)

  2. I had a very similar issue when I was first learning to wake board. I think what you need to do is make sure that you have about 1/4 of the board sticking up in the air (not completely submerged) and what helped me the most is as soon as the boat starts to pull you forward you need to twist your hips and straighten the board so it is equal with the boat, If you do this you will pop out of the water like nothing.

  3. Make sure that the boat that is pulling you out of the water isn't going to fast otherwise that migth be it. Your board is not suppose to go under the water this means that you'r putting your weight towards the tip of the board wich makes it point down and go under to correct this you must lean back and shift your weight to your back leg so the tip(the front) would not touch the water and would be sticking up, then with your knees bent you should automaticaly ris eup from the water.

Its not that easy it took me about twnety minutes to correctly get up and get going from the water.Just practice few more times and im sure you will get it

  4. i just got 1 yesterday and got up 2nd try.  let the boat and board do the work.  try to keep the rope near Ur chest.  just practice and have fun

  5. if the board kept going under then you were sitting back too far in the water. crunch your abs in and up before the boat moves and then continue your crunch while the boat pulls you to standing.

  6. your knees should be at 90 degrees and as the boat takes off try to fight the resistance by slowly straightening your legs. the rest will come natural.
