  1. Two ways - arrange the hose from the bed to where it will drain - which must end up below the bed although doesn't have to be below the bed all the way

    1. Suck on the hose, perhaps with someone sitting on the bed, to get the water started up over the side of the bed and into the hose.

    2. Take the end of the hose outside and use your hands, tape or appropriate fittings to fill the hose with water from an outside tap, putting a little in the bed.  When it is full, drop the hose to the ground and it will pull the bed water back through.

If you have the fittings used to fill the bed from a faucet, you can fill the hose (rather than sucking) from the bathroom sink or tub, although you have to drop the hose in the tub or shower to get it low enough to suction.

  2. Do you have a window or bath tub lower than the bottom of the waterbed? In other words you syphon off the water. If you hook up the hose you start the siphon effect by applying weight to the bed making sure the hose connection is in the water. being held down by a weight on it.If the far end of the hose is lower than the water bed it should all drain out!

  3. Generally there are two methods to do this. One is to drain the waterbed to a lower point, using the syphon effect to keep the water running. You will have to start this by applying a suction (mouth or wet/dry vac) to the open (and lower) end of the hose. Once the water hits the end, it should continue to flow on its own. The other is to pump it out. Some of the fill valve connections will act as a venturi pump to induce the flow of water out of the bed. Check at a store that sells waterbeds if that is what you want to use. Home Depot also sells a pump that attaches to hoses that you can use, but they will run around $60.

  4. Make sure the hose is outside or in the bathtub.  Take a vacuum cleaner hose, put it on the end of the hose and turn it on.  A wet/dry vac works best this.  You will have to put your hand around the hose end and the vacuum hose end to ensure a tighter fit.  It won't take long for that water to start flowing.  As soon as it does, point the hose to the bathtub or ground and put the vacuum up.

  5. make sure you have your hose outside and have someone slowly sit on the bed and it should start to flow if that doesn't work have them lay across it and roll work for all my family's water beds

  6. If you blow as hard as you can into the hose end and then quickly place the end lower than the bed it should start to flow. Second method is to attach hose to water spigot, turn on water till it starts to put more water into bed. Turn off spigot, undo hose from spigot and place end lower than bed. It will start to empty.

  7. You need to cyher it out with a water hose or plastic tubing. Suck on it to get the water flowing-and make sure your hose is going downhill from the bed. You can do it-its easy, Good Luck

  8. suck on the other end of the hose once water starts coming out it will keep flowing its called syphoning
