How do I get wax off plaster!?!?

i spilled a tart warmer on my freshly painted white walls, and down the waynescoating. the wax is yellow ( good morning yankee candel tart...smells nice but not nice on the wall!!) how can i get it off???

Take out excess with something sharp and for the left overs

my idea would be to use a paper towel or those brown paper bag and iron it . The wax would melt thus the paper absorbing it

Use ice to make it more brittle and carefully chip it away, perhaps with a straight razor.
