How do I get wood stains out of a beige carpet?

The carpet is 8 years old and I just noticed the stains when I removed a piece of furniture.

I would try white vinegar. I have used it on my carpet everytime we have spilled something or found a stain. Mix one part vinegar and 3 parts water (you can make it stronger if needed). Spray it onto the stain and blot the stain out. The vinegar smell dissipates as it dries.
