How do I get youtube podcasts or whatever onto my ipod/itunes??

Hi,

Ive heard that u can put videos off youtube onto ipod video (nano whatever u call them)

so how do i get it onto itunes? do i have to convert it??

i have the converting program just not sure how to do everything..thanks..help appreciated
