How do I gift an iphone?

Hi. My best friend's b'day is coming up and i want to give her an iphone as a gift. We cant meet. So is there anyway where I can buy it online and send it to her gift wrapped? Please help. Thanks!

you can't do that because the account holder has to activate the phone, and you can't buy the phone without activating it.  my advice, get her a gift certificate and go to the apple store and ask for a ticket for the iphone. it guarantees that there will be one in stock when she comes to pick it up
