How do I go about becoming a wedding planner when I'm a little older?

I am 16 years old and recently discovered that I might want to look into becoming a wedding planner. I live in Oklahoma so I don't know if there are alot of people here that would need me since Oklahoma isn't the most popular state, but if you have any advice on what classes I should take or any personal experience I would love that. I have no clue how to go about it and what all it involves. Thank you!

  1. My best advice is to finish high school and then go on to college and get a business degree. So, whatever you decide to do, you'll have a good business background which will enable you to pursue many different types of careers. Here is an article on what wedding planners do http://www.topweddingsites.com/wedding_p... and what you need to know to become a wedding planner: http://www.topweddingsites.com/become-a-...

    Good Luck!

  2. Try to get an internship with someone who is a wedding planner and learn everything about it.
