I've always wanted to be a fighter pilot, but I was told I couldn't because I don't have 20/20 vision, but I was told I could be a helicopter pilot. I wanted to know whats the process of becoming a helicopter pilot. I am interested in becoming an Army pilot. Also, can I still be a pilot if I join the reserves. Also, in your opinion, which would be the best to enlist. Navy reserves or Army reserves?

  1. Google "WOFT"

    Check out: http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/WO...

READ and SEARCH the archives on www.kiowapilots.com (But be prepared if you post without doing the legwork first.  Almost every question has already been answered on this site.  You just have to take the time to read it.)

If you go Army Reserves, you will have to find a unit that has helicopters and then I believe you will have to interview with them first.  You have to be in that unit and been given a pilot slot before you can go to WOFT and those slots are a cherished few.

  2. If you have the resources, obtaining a pilot's license helps and you can also go to OCS and put in for an aviator slot. Just some tips...
