How do I go about creating my own website?

Im really interested, but I dont know where to begin. Can anyone help me out?

buy a domain name (website url name) and hosting (space to store website files).

There are free ones, but you're stuck with their company domain name in the url.

Both requires some html knowledge, and photo editing.

all the websites are created using HTML, CSS & a dynamic website is developed using programming languages like PHP or .net. If you know all these you can do it on your own. Some other option you can use are Content Management Solutions (CMS) like Joomla or Drupal where in you don't need to be a programmer. & on top of it all it depends what kinda website you want to develop. If its blog, you can use Wordpress. & again you need to catch hold of a hosting company who will host your website..you need to understand some basic terms first..then you can decide if you can do it on your own or someone else will do it for you...

You first want to study HTML and CSS.

HTML is basically the structure of the webpage and CSS is the look and feel.

I would recommend going to http://w3schools.com and reading through their tutorials. I would also recommend searching 'html help' and 'css help' and look at all of the sites that you find to learn from them.

Well it cost money to have a domain name but at freewebs you can create a site for free. Go to freewebs.com and create a site. It will be something like www.freewebs.com/YOURWEBNAME. Hope this help, this is the best site creator.
