I have been streching for quite a while but my left leg at the thigh just won't go down to the floor. My right leg is perfect and my left leg is quite flexible, but i don't know what to do now!! Streching has improved my kicks and leaps but not my splits. I do things like lunges, reverse lunges , head to knee streches and hold the split position. I just need help. Also I can't really point my toes. How do you get a ballerinas shaped pointed toe?? Thanks , please answer x*x i know I already asked this, and thanks to those who answered, but I need more help. Ty xx

  1. maybe put your front leg on a height while you are in splits. as for the toes, a stretch we do at gym is lean on something like a box, put all your weight on the box and point your toes. then bring your pointed toes to the floor. your toes should be under. make sure you push your heels forward so that your toes are pointed not just curled under.

make sure you do this stretch carefully and adjust your weight slowly so you dont hurt yourself.

    hope i helped! : P

  2. I can do the splits (finaly)

But the easiest way would be to go down don't put your hands on the ground just leave them up let gravity do all the work

  3. Start a yoga class.

I never used to be able to touch my knees nevermind toes, now i can lay my hands flat on the floor.

It takes time but its worth it.

  4. Okay I am a dancer (For ten years) and I can almost do a split but this is what is do to help me. You do a split as far as you can go and where your body doesn't touch the ground fill that hole with pillows. Then each day take a pillow away and you will end up all the way on the floor. And to get pointed toes do this: Sit with legs streched out all the way. Then point toes all the way and then while toes are pointed lay them on their side and then slowly bring them up. I do this almost everyday and it really helps!
