  1. do you know where they lived, if so check with the local council, for info on cemeteries, they might be able to help.

  2. There are so many cemetery's in London and sadly a lot of them have fallen into disrepair and overgrown..see link London Cemetery's.

I have had the same problem finding graves, but solved the problems by finding the person on the census (giving address), then finding the death registration, ordering the death certificate which will give the place of death.

Armed with an area (suburb) you can then Google for the local council, email them asking for help locating a cemetery for that area and where the records of burial are kept.- you will find that they are most helpful especially if you live overseas.

  3. If you have any idea what area the family lived in, you might find it in that fashion, however if you don't, then start off by finding a family member who was buried there. Given that information you can set out to seek where they lived, and from there move to finding out where the vault might be.

My own husbands family is from England and had a private cemetery there. For us to find that took a bit of doing, however, England has some better records than the  US and makes many of them available free of charge, some even online to enable you to do your research.

UK birth, marriage and death records should enable you to find a place of death or last known residence place for one of your ancestors if you have any names to go on. From that information you will likely be able to find their final resting place.

If you find that is not the case a cemetery search in the area where they lived should help you to find that information.
