  1. If you have a prop with intact blades (not badly chipped or broke) but the core is spinning, take it to a place that specializes in prop blade repairs and/or replacement.  This might or might not be a boat repair shop or a dealership.

Sometimes the prop can have a new core to replace it, however sometimes a prop is too badly worn out to fix.

If you buy new, go with Aluminum or Composite propeller unless the boat's horsepower demands a stainless steel prop.

  2. Any propeller repair shop can put a new insert in the prop to repair the prop. take the propeller to your local boat repair shop or call them and ask them where to get this repaired at. we have a local prop repair shop here in iowa that will repair the prop.

  3. It's probably cheaper in the long run to invest in a new propeller.

Here's a site that lets you pick your own prop/pitch:

    http://www.boat-props.com/propellers/s/?...

    Hope this helps.

  4. There is no repair available that will allow the prop to break free if it hits an object.  You can make it solid but if you hit a rock it's liable to break something even more expensive.
