How do I go about joining a rugby club in Barcelona?

I know the main club FC Barcelona Rugby play at Barcelona University. Get in touch with the Uni to see when they train. If they don't have a suitable team for your level I'm sure they'll be kind enough to point you in the right direction.

Contact the Federacion Espanola de Rugby, to find out if there is a specific union for Catalunia (i.e. Northeast Spain, also spelled Catalunya)   They should be able to give you a list of clubs, you might try Granollers first, and work from there.

Note that rugby terminology in Spain derives from French, hence, 'ensayo'=essai (try), 'melé'=méleé (scrum),  'placaje'=plaquage (a tackle), etc..   It is interesting that in Argentina, the greatest Spanish speaking rugby nation, the terminology derives from English, and is virtually unchanged.
