How do I know what to get with each turbo (waste gate size, exhaust size etc.) for each turbo?

What waste gate goes to what turbo? why? what size? etc.

What turbo to get?

What is the price of a reasonable kit?

How do I learn more about what each part does more in detail and how to mix and match kits (waste gates, turbos, exhaust manifolds)?

  1. Try the sites below (Japanese cars & car parts). You should get the most direct solution here. I've got a Nissan import myself (Silvia 180sx)

  2. As far as exhaust size goes almost anybody will recommend 3" for a turbo application. Any other information takes quite a bit of research since a GT25 or so turbo is fine for a 4 banger but is a little on the weak side for a V6. Nobody who drives their car on the street is going to want a G55 though because it would lag too much on most cars (all from japan to my knowledge).

  3. you get what you pay for with turbos, you wanna spend the big bucks that way you get the entire kit thats right for your ride and there are less chances of blowing something up. like your motor
