How do I go about setting up a cheerleading squad to support my church rugby team?

The team is just starting up - both the team and us 'cheerleaders' are all teenagers - and none of us have chereleading experience. Is it all just a false hope?

Rugby teams very rarely have cheerleaders, so they will appreciate any cheering :)
