How do I go about volunteering with kids here at Child Haven in Las Vegas, NV?

College isn't until Spring of 09' for me so I want to leep motivated by doing some volunteer work. I am currently a re-covering alcoholic and I'm trying to maintain my job and make life better for me. The only thing I can think of is doing something productive and helpful to the community. Am I going to need a Sherrif's Card? What do I need in order to jump into this within the next month or so? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Write a letter to the director of that organization.  Be honest and ask to come in for an interview.  That should start the ball rolling.  Good luck
