My wife had a buton on her page to go back to the old My Yahoo, but I don't. I even tried "http://cm.my.yahoo.com/switch," but although it tells me I am going back tot he old version, I still get the crappy My Yahoo beta page.

I hate it!!! Yahoo made it their page, not mine. I hate the new stuff including the modules that Yahoo forces on everyone.

  1. You will have to keep switching to the Original My Yahoo! each time you close your account or your PC. Yahoo! seems to be making us use the Beta whether we want it or not. This is how I am able to get back to the Original My Yahoo!.

Blog/ Switch to original My Yahoo!/ Last update: Nov 3, 6:16 pm you click the Switch to original My Yahoo click the Switch Back. After you switch you need to click the "Cancel" and you will go back to the original. If you click the "See Your Page" you go back to the beta.

It took a couple of tries to figure out to click the cancel the second go around.

  2. after you do the "/switch" and hit the go back button.  Then in the address bar type www.my.yahoo.com and your old page will be returned.  I hate the new yahoo and just switched back also.

  3. Let me revise the first answer a little... after you click the link below and choose the old yahoo, immediately click on the 'tools' option in the menu bar of Internet Explorer, then click on "Internet Options". Make sure the home page address says:

    http://my.yahoo.com

you do NOT want it to say anything about cm.yahoo.com

it's the CM that is the beta crapfest that yahoo is trying to convince everyone is so wonderful (UGH!)

    good luck!

PS- if that still doesn't work, you may need to clear your cache and cookies and then try it (that option is there in the 'tools/Internet Options" box too)

  4. I concur about Their design. I suspect its their error and not your fault you can't switch back to classic. Try going into your Mail Options or Preferences and see if there's a link there.
