  1. Your parents will issue you a diploma when you have met your requirements that were either set by them or by the state standards for Florida. I wouldn't suggest a GED unless your parents don't want to give you a diploma.

    The public schools require this

  2. well i am a senior still.. messed around a lott in school BUT i started homeschooling last year and i have to earn credits just like everyone else they depend on your graduating like right now i have like 19.5 credits and i need 20 to graduate once i finish my last class i will graduate like everyone else i guess it just depends though on the state if you can call the school board and ask them about it they would probably know more about it

  3. I have two children who finished homeschool high school while in FL.  They don't have diplomas, but they do have high school transcripts which record the subjects they completed and their grades.  They were both admitted to community college by passing a placement test that they took at the college.  The college also wanted a copy of their transcripts.  If you are planning to go to a Florida college, you should check to see what high school courses you should have taken and see if you have covered them.  You and your parent can use a word processing program to make your transcript.  Search: homeschool transcript for help.

If you are not going to college, perhaps you should look into taking the GED test.  The Test of General Educational Development (GED Test) is developed by the Council on Education to enable individuals who have not graduated from high school to obtain an equivalency diploma.

The GED Test may be given to:

        * Residents of Florida, proof of residency must include either a State of Florida License or State of Florida Identification Card. Candidates should bring their Social Security Cards for further verification of identity .

        * Adults, 18 years of age or older.

        * GED candidates 16 or 17 years of age who have been granted an age waiver by their local educational agency.

        * Individuals not enrolled in an accredited high school.

        * Individuals who have not graduated from an accredited high school or have already received a high school equivalency diploma.

  4. I've been home schooled for most of my life and from what I know, you don't actually "graduate" as in get a diploma, but you do take your GED test, which is basically exactly the same thing. They should have one in Florida, from what I know, every state should have one:
