  1. Don't use pots. Plant in the soil and in full sun. Plenty of water and a good fertilizer. You should be fine.

  2. lol, u can not they can get them inported from like anywhere they want

  3. just buy them at the store it is a lot easier /

  4. Probably feed it alot of steroids!  And they don't pick them ripe either - it takes them a few days to ship them all and if they picked them all ripe, they'd be way overripe by the time you bought them.

I think you can ripen them the same way as tomatoes - cover them in newspaper and they will ripen quite quickly.

  5. NEVER compare your home-grown vegetables to those steroidal mishaps you buy from the grocers.

As for peppers, I love growing them.  I take five and place them six inches apart in a deep container.  I mulch the surface and make sure the soil is always warm and moist, just like the peppers like it.  They reward me all summer long with delicious peppers of various intensities.

The normal green peppers you see in the grocery stores, the giant sweet bells, hardly grow that way at home.  Mine are half the size but carry as much sweetness.

Plants will self-abort their fruit if they are carrying too many for their own good.  I don't know if peppers are guilty of this but I know many fruit trees do this.  What peppers do do, however, is drop their blossoms in June or July (depending on latitude) because of the heat.  The blossoms do grow back and fruit will form when temperatures get back into the 80s, what peppers like best.
