How do I handwash a shirt?

I've never had to handwash a shirt before, but I just got a new shirt that says handwash lol. So how do I go about this?

My washer has a "hand wash" cycle on it so I just use that. Most times you can get away with using a short gentle cycle and cold water. If you're scared to try that, then use Woolite in cold water, but be sure to rinse really really well.

What kind of material is it? You might try a gentle detergent, like Woolite. clean out a sink large enough to fit the shirt and

1. Plug a sink, and add about 1/4 cup of the detergent.

2. Fill the sink with hot water - as hot as you can comfortably put your hands in unless the label indicates cold water only. Hot water tends to shrink things.

3.Put your clothing in the water and get it thoroughly wet and soapy. If it's stained, you may want to let it soak for a while.

4.  Knead the clothing with your hands in the water for a few minutes, much as you would knead bread.

5. Unplug the sink, drain and start the water running. Rinse your clothing until the water runs clear, not soapy.

6. Do not wring it out unless you want extra wrinkles.  IF it is a sweater, best to lay it flat on a towel on a table or over the back of a chair.  Or, unless otherwise indicated on the label, put it in the dryer on a low heat setting.

Well first of all read the tag  to see if it says hand wash in warm luke warm , or cold water , then with whatever water  it says use fill the sink  or if your using something else with the water and add a small amount of laundry soap and put the shirt in the sink and swish it around with your hands and let it sit for a few minutes maybe 3 or 4 minutes then change the water first ring the shirt out then get clean water and rince it out and then hang to dry , or if your washing machine has a gentle or hand wash setting  you can wash it on the setting in your washing machine and it will be just fine

fill ur sink, bin. tub watever u use wit warm water and 1/2 cup detergent and just move the shirt around. for stain removal spray wit spray and wash and rub it in. the move it around  in the water and rinse. repeat if nessecary. then u can hang it up to dry or put in the dryer.
