How do I hang heavy bag , punching bag in the basement without shaking up the house?

I hung a heavy bag , punching bag in the basement beam and it shakes up the entire house when hit. I just use a simple eye hook into the joist (?).

Any ideas how you can hang a heavy bag without shaking up the house? Separate with a piece of rubber?

HANG THE BAG ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR AND PUNCH IT UPSIDEDOWN.
