How do I hang up an art poster on a wall (temporarily)?

I want to hang up either an art poster or a poster board on a wall without defacing the wall. This is going to be at a temporary event.

If I recall correctly, there was something that was triangular in shape, I believe that it was called a Stick-'em or some such thing, and you glued four of them to the wall and you slipped the four corners of your art into the corresponding stick 'em.

Is there still such a thing available? What do they call it and who might sell it?

Alternately, how else might I go about it? I don't want to use scotch tape for a number of reasons.

Thanx

  1. The best thing for paper is Fun-tak, the blue stuff, there are other brands but that one is the best and the only one I'll use. If your poster board is light, it should work for that too, just use more, and by that I mean put it in 8 places instead of the four that will usually hold up a poster. Get a little ball of the stuff, put it on the poster corners and perhaps the middle of the edges, and then press the poster to the wall. If it's going to be hot in the room where the posters are, Fun-tak can sometimes soften and let go if it's holding up more than a poster, but anything under 75 or 80F shouldn't be a problem. If you need a little more sticking power for the poster board, you can use double-sided carpet tape doubled up, but if you do, you want to put masking tape on the poster board or the carpet tape won't come off without damage, and also use beige or green masking tape on the wall where the carpet tape will be if it's a drywall wall. Press the masking tape on the wall very firmly and remove it slowly.
