How do I have A.D.D?

Hi there. They say that A.D.D never goes away?

When I was younger, under age 8, I was diagnosed with A.D.D. I went on medication for about a year or two and then my parents decided to take me off.

Now as an adult in my 20s, they still insist that I have A.D.D.

How do I have it?

I never have problems concentrating anymore. I did have a bit of problems concentrating when I was younger especially during tests, but now as an adult in college, I could take a test with a woman screaming in the next room if I wanted to and not have a problem concentrating.

I'm also not hyper. In fact, I'm pretty laid back and I'm great at remembering things. I can remember all my dreams and never forget them, I remember things that happened when I was around 3 years old, etc!

And another symptom was easily bored and tardiness. I'm not easily bored. I can find a good book and be completely content.

On the other hand, I am tardy a bit too much, but thats probably from being on the phone with my distant to-be-hubby all night long.

So, how do I still have a.d.d?

Is there a way to get retested?

  1. Who says you have ADD? They have no way to know, and no right  to say that. Getting tested can cost hundreds of dollars. You go to a psychologist for that.
