How do I have my email NOT displayed publicly?

Question

I created a profile and have tried to edit it several times to remove my email address which is displayed publicly. The editing isn't working. What do I need to do to remove my email address?

First go to My Profile on the top right, then click Edit profile Info..go down to privacy and uncheck this "Allow Answers users to contact me via email (Address not publically displayed)  " then remember to press save on the bottom! :]

1. You have to click on your picture or user name. This operation take you to your Profile Page.

2. Onces you are in your profile page you have to click on Edit My Info.

3. You can see another page and this says in the head Edit My Profile. Are different areas and you can select on those your best preferences, in this case of your question go to; Privacy.

4. Privacy has different alternatives and you can see on your screen;  Allow Answers users to contact me via email (Address not publically displayed)  The next step its unselected this option, what means in other words click on the little square and remove the selection mark.

If you don't like any kind of communications form Yahoo just go down on  Email Communications from Yahoo! Answers section and repeat the same operation, remove all the selection marks.

I recommend you post a picture of you or anyone you consider good for you avatar, in that way you don't have a silhouette like face avatar. To perform this operation go to Yahoo 360' and open an account, post in this account the picture of your preference and return to your profile in yahoo answer and repeat the operation at points 1, 2, 3 of this instructions guide I provide to you.

In this occasion you have to go to Picture and select; Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture, mark at the little square your selection and this picture has to be your avatar. Remember, you can change your avatar name with the name of your preference in that way you are not Huy6786p or any other weird name.

At the end of your selections always at the end of the page click Preview, you can see another page where are your changes, if everything it's correct click at the end of the page OK and you are ready my fiend.

Try this. Click on message board settings, then Avatars & profiles settings. At the bottom where is says "Display with profiles": If you want it displayed then check it and then click on edit and make sure "Display email address" is not selected.
