  1. The best way to head a soccer ball is eyes open, mouth closed, on your hairline. It never hurts when you make good contact on your hairline or a little below it. You also want to go forwards and make contact with the ball, not let it hit you. I think defenders use more of their body to clear while strikers use more neck to head it down, but either way, timing of the jump is important and comes with experience.

  2. I don't really know how much experience you have at all but first of all make sure you don't use the top of your head! Use your forehead! Make sure you don't close your eyes when you head the ball and also make sure your mouth is closed, ha. When you shoot a soccer ball follow through is really important, and this following through is also important when you head the ball. This is especially true when you're trying to redirect the ball, such as on corners. Don't just let the ball hit you but attack the ball with your head. It sounds corny but it really is true. Practice makes perfect and observe how your teammates or professionals on TV head the ball. Good luck!

  3. MAKE SURE YOU ARE HEADING RIGHT ON YOUR FOREHEAD

  4. Stand firm, tense the neck muscles and make sure to get good contact of your forehead, try it hope that helps pal.
