How do I help her give birth?

I'm 22 and my female partner L is 19 (yes, we are g*y, we live together and we love each-other very much). We're together for 3 years already. A few times she slept with men (and so did I, we have no problem with that, although generally we sleep together only and never get to know any male partner). L got pregnant. She is now 37 weeks along and very s**y by the way. She doesn't want to give birth in a hospital. We are very very close and she wants me to be the only person who would help her give birth. I feel fine with it but not quite sure if I would do it well. I know it will hurt alot (I gave birth to twins when I was 14 and another birth to a boy when I was 16). The second birth was a homebirth and I was completely alone (my parents had left for a few days). I did it fine although it was a terrible pain but I knew how to do it. Would I be able to do the same for L? We won't change the decision but I'd like to have ideas on how to do it better?

  1. personally i think this question is f****d!!!

you give birth with no supervision at all?? thats dangerous as well as just plain stupid.

i know what its like to be a young mum...but it doesnt seem like a very healthy relationship...sleeping with other people etc....

it just sounds really dumb..sorry lol

  2. There are plenty of books about Unassisted childbirth that you can look for at the library or at bookstores.  I would have a local midwife on call though in case anything should happen, or you could have a midwife come to the house and be around while you help her give birth, just to make you feel safer.

By the way, if you both sleep with guys as well you are bi-sexual, not g*y.  Not having a relationship with them doesn't mean much if you are still sexual attracted to them and have s*x with them.  Just saying.

  3. this quetion is very distubing not the part that you are g*y because that is your thing...but the part of you all having a baby with no medical supervisin, what if something goes wrong, and the part of you having twins at 14 wow and having a baby alone at 16 this has got to be a joke

  4. I'm sad about these. I guess all i can say is sterilize everything and hope everything turns out fine.
